Here's a guide to my favorite wine bars, trattorias, and special eating places along La Strada del Vino.

Look for my decal in the window. And tell them Divina Cucina sent you!

Castelnuovo Berardegna is the first large town coming from Siena. Famous for its villas (now hotels) with fabulous gardens--Villa Arcena and Borgo San Felice. The road is very picturesque, but watch out for the bike tours! The roads are tiny! Along the way there are many tiny villages such as Villa a Sesta.

Located in the picturesque village of Villa a Sesta, the Bottega is hidden from the eye as one drives by. It remains one of my most memorable meals in years. The chef, Hélène Stoquelet, adds a magical French touch to Tuscan cuisine. She and her husband Franco Camelia have created a little bit of paradise here. There is also the Caffé Camelia in the village for a light lunch or snack.
