Learn to cook like an Italian!
The secret to creating great meals at a moment's notice is to have a well-stocked pantry. My Pantry Class—La Dispensa—will teach you to improvise and create a complete Tuscan meal, based on what is available in the market on a daily basis. We will create the menu as we shop at the local butcher and vegetable shops and return home to create! Just like an Italian mamma! We will discuss what a well-stocked Tuscan pantry contains and also what to have for some other regional styles of Italian cooking.
The Market to Table Class is a little longer day and gives you the chance to do some shopping for kitchen utensils, table cloths and other fun items as well as a much larger choice of products to use for our class. On market day we can go beyond Tuscan cooking, as there are vendors from Naples and Puglia as well. We will have a porchetta sandwich—a fabulous local specialty— before heading back to cook.
Pantry Class–La Dispensa (Monday & Wednesday)
One-day cooking classes in Colle Val d'Elsa on Monday and Wednesday. Hands-on lessons creating a complete four-course Tuscan meal. We will stop for a snack in the main piazza and shop for the main course and seasonal vegetables in town, then head to my studio to create our meal, filling in with the basics from a Tuscan pantry.Class with meal and wine, my Secrets From My Tuscan Kitchen, apron included.

Market to Table Class (Friday)
Market day in Colle Val d'Elsa is every Friday; an entire street is blocked off for the movable market and we will do a short tour through picking up fresh fruits and vegetables from local purveyors. Cooking classes are held in my studio. We prepare a full Tuscan meal.
Friday class includes market tour, cooking class with full meal with wine. Everyone receives a Divina Cucina apron, shopping bag, and a copy of my cookbook, Secrets from My Tuscan Kitchen.

All three days $800 per person
Colle Val d'Elsa is on the bus line from Florence to Siena and is a 50 minute ride. We are near San Gimignano and Siena. I can arrange a private driver for pick-up and drop-off.
