Here's a guide to my favorite wine bars, trattorias, and special eating places along La Strada del Vino.

Look for my decal in the window. And tell them Divina Cucina sent you!

Strada in Italian means road, and this town is a long road. Most people just
pass by, but there is a local dry pasta company in the main piazza, a great
tiny gelato place on the way past the piazza (if you're lucky enough find it open), and
often a food festival in the village.

A temple to Dante Alighieri and Tuscan cuisine! Alvaro, your host, is a Dante
fan and will recite at the drop of the hat. His brother, chef Rolando
Parenti, makes wonderful ribollita, pappardelle al sugo di "Conigliolo", penne sul gallo, and peposo alla fornacina. This is a favorite with locals. There is an upstairs terrace overlooking
the valley.
